Practice in Malaysia does feel a bit like a testing session and not just for Hispania, many teams including McLaren are still testing new parts that weren’t quite ready for Australia, or are reactions to findings in Australia.

Red Bull are of course testing thier KERS as we understand it, Renault may have been testing the use of lighter more marginal brake discs: which failed on both cars.

Hispania though could find some time if they get enough running before Qualifying, they have a new 2011 spec wing but they have been beset by engine problems. F1 Cities stands by its prediction that Hispania will be on the grid in China though and the fact they are getting some running in testing is a big step forwards.
