Though the Sochi Olympic Park circuit, the venue for the Russian Grand Prix from 2014, won’t have the track laid until after the Winter Olympics at the beginning of 2014 are over, plans have recently been revealed.

The track will be built within the grounds of the Winter Olympics facilities, the facilities for the Olympics are planned to be integrated into the circuit while allowing them to still be used in the mountain resort which it is hoped will bring in tourists to the Black Sea resort for years to come.

The most interesting thing though is the pictures that have been released and what they show, a very modern looking venue, the buildings both for the Olympics specifically, the Grand Prix specifically and to be shared look very futuristic. The concourses and walkways between the Olympics venues such as ice rinks mean there is little grass around and the Computer Generated images show a light grey colour to most surfaces at the venue.
